A descriptive word for the Great Dane just came to mind, even though it’s a word most often used to describe a large and beautiful woman. So why not a large and beautiful female Great Dane? The word is statuesque, and I think it is very fitting indeed. The words “noble” and “dignified” are often used descriptively in reference to the Great Dane, but those seem like masculine terms to me, and I was searching around in my vocabulary for a way to describe the fairer sex, Great Dane style.

She deserves some admiration for her wonderful qualities, which undoubtedly must vary a bit from her mate’s. I do not mean to imply that she exhibits any less courage or nobility than her male counterpart, only that there must be additional qualities that are hers alone. This is the type of thing that grabs my attention, which is probably why it takes a while for me to write my descriptions!
