Description: The Quarter Horse actually originated in the eastern part of the United States, but out West is where this horse really shines. In Oklahoma there are numerous Quarter Horse breeding farms. They grow healthy on vitamin rich grass that grows green all the year long. For anyone who would prefer a full horse body design, I offer my gold western horse medium sized pendant.  I have several other horse designs in gold pendant forms as well in honor of this amazing animal. The Quarter Horse seems to be made for the herding and the branding of cattle. This horse has been described as “turning on a dime” and I guess in the business of driving cattle that would be a more than necessary skill. I’m sure the love these cowboys feel for their horses persists even when they are no longer able to drive the cattle themselves. Horse and man certainly have to work as one with the dangerous and tiring job of cattle driving. The Quarter Horses used in rodeos are really required to be fast moving and aware and awake at all times! They certainly have to be every bit as good and talented as the cowboys riding them. This horse is responsible for the movement of the steer and must be able to move fast. I’m certainly impressed by all I’ve read about the Quarter horse, and I hope my gold Quarter Horse small pendant does this wonderful horse justice!
