Description: In the 1200s the poodle was seen in paintings and mentioned in the literature of the time. Botticelli and Rembrandt painted the poodle. Pretty good!
The ancestor of the modern poodle was most likely a dog called the North African Barbet. This dog was considered to be the parent of all the European water dogs. There were many dogs of different breeds that were sheared in a similar fashion resulting in some confusion. The common clip of years past was a lion clip, and this is the one I’m referring to that many dogs sported.
The poodle likes human company. There is nothing quite as unhappy as a poodle left on its own for too long. They seem to thrive on the company of others. (“Other humans” is what I’m referring to.) Some poodles get a little nervous and neurotic, but this may just apply to the little versions, I’m not sure. I have the idea that the miniature and the toy poodles may have a few more health difficulties.
They have an elegant muzzle, and have a springy way of walking that is typical of the breed. They are also fairly long lived dogs, many living over 15 years of age.
This gold poodle pendant I offer for your consideration, along with my other gold dog pendant options, such as my cute gold pug pendant.
