Description: I was just thinking about the impression that a Doberman gives me. I started to say that he looks rather full of himself, but that isn’t really it. It is really more of a self confidence that just oozes from him. He isn’t worried about the little things in life, because those are already taken care of. He can handle anything, and is not fearful. Yes, that comes closer to what I see. Just a boatload of confidence and knowing that he can handle anything that might come his way. A little like a superhero or maybe more like Tom Cruise in one of the Mission Impossible movies! Of course some people see something sinister in the breed, but that might just be the cropped ears. There’s something about a dog with cropped ears that just looks like you better not tangle with them. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why they’re cropped in the first place. Doberman dogs are acceptable in a number of colors, but the black and rust seems to be the most common color. I’ve seen some lovely red looking dobies, but not nearly as often as the black ones.
