Description: The Welsh corgi cardigan is a rather ancient breed that the Celts used to guard children and drive game out, such as weasels and fox. They were only famous within their home country of Wales for a long time. It wasn’t until the mid 1930s that the cardigan became known to the rest of the world. The Duke of York (later King George VI) loved this breed and kept them in his palace. On the other hand, Queen Elizabeth was the one to make the Welsh Corgi Pembroke popular. Now this is what I read in one source of information. But since we’re talking about fairly recent history, it could be checked out. Actually the only thing I’m wondering about is the King George part. I haven’t seen that anywhere else, but then again, I don’t get around much.
If you make your breed choices based on which royal personage owned what dog, then you might not be cut out for pet ownership, anyway. I think most people are a little more self -determined than that!
I do hope you have the need for a gold corgi pendant. If you do, then here you are. If not, then I’ll be here when you do!
