Description:
They were loosely based on a primate group known as a capuchin monkey, which is one of the New World residents, all of whom live south of the United States.
One type of capuchin, the brown capuchin, can be watched feeding just to determine who is “top monkey”. The dominant male always gets the best spots to feed, and his minions, so to speak (the monkeys he tolerates the most, actually.) feed the longest and before anyone else gets a crack at it. Until “his” group has left the tree, the other monkeys must wait their turn.
The dominant male is carefully watched by others in his group, and they decide their moves based on what he does. He, like every powerful politician, is tolerant of infants and young monkeys. They even follow him around! The females that he has decided are in the “in” crowd are in the leading edge of the group. The only trade off for the best foraging opportunities is that they’re also the most prone to predation.
It’s sort of spooky how closely some humans tend to follow these monkey principles of existence. I think the more aware you are, the less the monkey behavior. That’s my opinion, anyway.
But just for fun, these 14k gold monkey earrings would be great to wear, and would surely get some attention.
