In fact, when I displayed my jewelry for the first time at a veterinary meeting I heard again and again “Don’t you have a veterinary caduceus? Or “Where’s the vet tech symbol?” In other words, I learned my lesson really fast. Get some of those caduceus symbols made before you embarrass yourself at the next vet meeting! At that time, I’m not even sure I knew what the symbol was supposed to look like! So it took a little research before I could start. My first versions were the larger of the two symbols, and although people liked them, they were a little large for some of my customers. Back to the studio! I made another version, one for the vets and one for the techs. Success!
