I’ve had such a wonderful experience in designing these gold horse earrings. They have progressed in time through the gold English and Western horse earrings through (perhaps my current favorite) the gold facing horse. There’s something about that one that just tickles my funny bone. It has really grown on me!
I realize there are lots of lovely horse earrings available in the world, which is a good thing because horses are so beautiful and they deserve the honor of being so widely represented. I, of course have my own version with my own artistic slant. I hope you enjoy mine, but if they just aren’t to your taste, I’m not offended. (How would I know, anyway?) All I can say is it gave me great joy to design them and I hope that comes across in the photographs!
Since horses have been domesticated for thousands of years, they have certainly enjoyed a lot of representation in art for an equal period of time. I love the work of early artists, even those of prehistoric artisans. To me, they were able to capture the very essence of the animals they painted, and in just a few simple strokes of the “brush”, whatever that may have been at that time.
