Description:
The coat of the actual dog (not the gold earrings!) is pretty easy to take care of, with the only thing necessary a quick brush daily. Hmm, how quick would a brushing really be when you have to cover all that area? I bet the Dane is pretty patient about it though.
I just read something I found interesting about the rearing of the young Great Danes. Apparently you need to be careful when taking them out for a romp until their bones are fully developed so the puppies don’t end up with any problems later on. The adult dogs, however, should be well exercised by galloping alongside a bike.
The puppies should be allowed to romp about at their own level of action. That way there’s no danger of them overdoing it. I bet a “herd” of Great Dane pups is something to see! They must be all legs, running their gangly way around the yard.
The Great Dane has an innate sense of responsibility which is evident even in the very young puppies. It is a good idea to make sure the puppies are well trained from an early age, however.
The gold Great Dane earrings would certainly be a gift to be remembered!
