I think one reason why these are popular is because, for one thing, it has not yet been humanly possible for me to create every single type of dog there is. Not to mention the fact that there are so many mixed breed dogs- more than I could create in a lifetime even if that is all that I made!  Long ago I gave up on the concept of making all the breeds in the universe with all possible variations, let alone the various mixtures possible. It is too deep for me to ponder. So, I am content working on my dog earrings in 14k gold and creating variations such as my whimsical vertical dog bone gold earrings.

 

Enter the simple and pretty dog bone earrings. A universal symbol of the dog. Well, I admit I’m guessing there. I have no idea if people in Thailand consider a dog bone a dog symbol or not. But since I am from the West, I can only go by what I know here. A sheltered existence I realize, but it’s the only one I have right now! Besides, if there does exist some other equally popular dog symbol that everyone in perhaps the South Pacific knows about, they can always let me know and I’ll do my best to eventually take care of them!

For now, my gold bone earrings are the way I can cover all my bases of dogs not yet created by my hand. I hope they bring a smile to your lips and a twinkle to your eye!
