Description: I don’t believe there was any one special cat that served as my inspiration for this pair of gold cat earrings, but I will say that most of the cats I’ve owned did seem to be a bit on the large side! I had to create a close up, too, in my gold cat head earrings. I, of course, designed these earrings with a true cat lover in mind- but oddly enough I’ve had customers who didn’t even like cats (I know, hard to believe) purchase these earrings and tell me that they just found them irresistible. Who knows, perhaps my 14k earrings softened their hearts a little. There are some very famous cat lovers in history who owned fluffy cats. In Florence Nightingale’s old age, she never left home for a trip without taking her cats along. At one point she owned about sixty Persian cats which she named after famous people. Presumably all 60 didn’t accompany her on her trips! Winston Churchill loved cats. I have a photograph in an old book of Mr. Churchill bending over to give a pet to a ship’s cat, British sailors nearby standing at attention with grins on their faces. For a trip out on the town or just to cheer you up at work, these 14k gold fat cat earrings would make any day a good one for a cat lover. |
