Before ordering this charm in gold, I only ask that you make sure, especially if it’s to be a gift, that the would-be recipient likes the design. It is a bit unusual, and some German Shepherd’s owners, especially if they are breeders or show the dogs, may prefer a dog that is more realistic and not so whimsical.

German shepherds come in a variety of colors and coat lengths. There are medium and long haired varieties of the dog. As far as color of the dog is concerned, the only colors I know of that cause a great outcry of protest are the white and cream versions. But that would only be a problem if the intention was to show the dog. I’m sure a pet German shepherd would be fine no matter the color. Some might even feel the white dog is especially dramatic!

This is a fairy large dog, and weighs from 65 pounds to 80 pounds, depending on the sex. I’m surprised that is all they weigh. A gold German shepherd charm would be dramatic, but keep in mind it will be a rather larger than is usually expected charm.
