Description: The cats that have thus far graced my home have been short haired cats, usually tabby cats. Nothing special if you are comparing them to show quality cats, but always special to our family. I’ve not met a cat yet that didn’t posses a quiet grace. Cats, of all animals, seem very comfortable within their skin and have a keen sense of self preservation. Whenever any stranger came to our door (even the UPS guy) our cat Molly dashed under the bed furthest from the front door. My daughter said she did it with a silent kitty shout of “Save myself!” I thought that just about summed it up. Molly was a pretty little cat, and even though she was spayed, local toms seemed to find her irresistible, much to her annoyance. Molly did not enjoy the company of other cats. In fact, when we picked her up at the animal shelter when she was just about a year old, her “bio” said as much. It must have been dreadfully painful for her to be in a cage, even though it was large, with 5 or 6 other cats. She saw our family approach and would not let us out of her sight or attention until we took her home with us.
