Description: Speaking of fat cats, they don’t need to be exercised in the same that dogs do, but if your cat is not an indoor/outdoor cat, and stays inside exclusively, then it might be a good idea to train him to a leash. This is not as ridiculous as it may sound out of hand. My mother trained our cat Pif to not only walk on a leash outside, but Mom sometimes put her outside on her own with the leash fastened to a stake in the yard. That way she could get the benefit of fresh air and some exercise in the sun. (Of course my mom kept an eye on her so she stayed safe.)
Cats that have a cat door and can go in and out as they please have a good life, but there are other hazards to watch for. Not the least of which is your darling kitty bringing in some of the local animal inhabitants to play with in the privacy of her own home. Which, of course, happens to be your own home, too.
If you need another gold fat cat charm to round out your collection, I offer this dandy little creature!
