About Our Gold Chains

It seems that 14k gold chains have been popular for years and years. The ones that we carry in the Magic Zoo are of the highest quality, and you can proudly wear them. Back in the 1980s we knew a man in Los Angeles who looked a little like Tom Petty and had a job selling 14k gold to the women in the high office towers all around LA. I can’t imagine that anyone could still do that kind of thing today, but he (his name was Norman, if my memory is correct.) made a good living and even had it set up so his customers could buy gold jewelry from him on a payment plan! He carried gold chains, gold charms, gold pendants, you name it! It was all high quality gold that he purchased in the large jewelry district in downtown LA. My husband and I were quite impressed with him and thought him quite the entrepreneur! Funny what thoughts get conjured up about certain things… All of my unique gold jewelry is made here in America, and I’ve been very pleased with how well they’re made including the chains. The way you close and open them is with a lobster claw, as it’s called. A good latch, I think one of the best.
