A classic enamel green snake pin, complete with the forked black tongue! This design was based on the basic body shape of the boa constrictor, with all the details.
For anyone who is fond of this sometimes maligned reptile, the snake pin would be a snazzy addition to an outfit or even a hat- and a way to familiarize others with this animal.
It’s 2 1/2 inches long from the tip of the tongue to the tip of the tail and is a subtle bluish green color. You can see all the scales through the slightly transparent paint, and that gives it a nice detailed look.
Since frogs are often snake prey, perhaps it's inappropriate to mention my green enamel frog pin on the same page, but I have the amphibians with the reptiles on the reptile enamel pin home page and that's just the way it is!
