Green is reflected in most living plants, and it seems like the most natural color in the world to use in my enamel jewelry making. Of course there are no green cats- in fact the only green mammal I know of is the sloth, and he’s only green because of his very slow, algae-growing speed.

But I figure there must be other cat lovers out there who love the color green and would appreciate their favorite pet in a color that can be worn when called for. Now, don’t forget that green is lovely with many other colors, including many other shades of green, pink, red, grey and a lot more. Sure there are colors that clash, but it is possible to be a little more adventurous with mixing and matching of colors than most people realize.

I think it’s a lot of fun to have a design, such as my “playful cat” design, and then be able to present it in so many different guises. Oh, the wonder of color!

I love this particular hue. The playful green cat pin reminds me of something warm and earthy, like a semi-precious stone. It isn’t really the color of an emerald, but it does have the feeling and beauty of something natural.
