these enamel wildlife necklaces are fun. Just a little something to wear with a
splash of color in an animal design. I especially like the idea of a necklace
with a matching set of the wildlife earrings, but you must, of course, decide
for yourself on that point! When I first started Magic Zoo, I was only making earrings and pins, and those were not in any kind of metal, sterling silver or otherwise. It’s interesting how one’s horizons expand as time goes by, sometimes a lot of time! It wasn’t until I’d already been making a living as an artist for four or five years that I had the “brilliant” idea that I should offer some necklaces for sale. I’ve never been one to keep up with fashion trends, you see. My interests have always been in the area of designing things that I thought were either fun, funny or beautiful. All from my own perspective, because who else’s perspective did I have? Anyway, one fine day, and under some protest by my more conservative-in-this-area husband, I decided that the next art show I did would have some necklaces to offer. As if that were a new idea under the sun Anyway, necklaces of one kind or another have been with me since that fine day and needless to say, it did work out just fine.
