reptile necklaces – what a great method to stand out from the crowd! Not only
that, but these necklaces are especially pretty to boot. Some of my reptile necklaces are made with so much detail they’re actually fun to study a little bit. Can you see the texture on the legs and head of the enamel turtle jewelry? When I was a kid I had a pretty little black turtle for a pet, and once in a while a box turtle would wander up from the woods and park himself on our lawn. I still remember the green snake that my father plucked out of the bushes in the front yard and received a little nip for his trouble. I don’t know what kind of snake it was, but assume it was some type of garter snake. For a little while my sister and I had a “chameleon” in a box in our bedroom, something we got from a carnival coming through town. We had no idea how to properly take care of the poor thing and it eventually starved. (This was actually an anole, a New world lizard, and not a chameleon at all.) Perhaps I make up for that poor creature’s demise by creating an especially abundant bug buffet for the anole population in my back yard now. And in my own way, I let the world know how wonderful the reptiles on the planet are by creating my colorful enamel reptile necklaces. Of, course I didn't stop there and you'll find some pocket pet necklaces in enamel and many other necklaces in enamel. |
