Description:
I love this necklace. It was one of the earlier designs I created in the pewter for the purpose of being painted. And this color is such a rich and pretty one. I have always been fond of colors in this basic range. Possibly because I was born in the Autumn, I have a real affinity for gold and jewel tones.
The greyhound head, which of course is the focal point of the necklace, is just the right size. It is not teensy, but is large enough that you can really see all the detail in the face without straining your eyes.
The greyhound has got to be one of the most beautiful of all the dog breeds. It has an ancient look to it, which makes sense because they have been around in their current form for a very long time. I love to just feast my eyes on these dogs, whenever I’m lucky enough to be in their presence. Occasionally one will wander into my jewelry booth with his or her human companion and I get a nice close look at the dog. What a thrill!
I am assuming that if you are reading this that you have some type of connection to the greyhound breed. Lucky you! Write to me if you like, in the form of an email and tell me about your dog. You can even send a picture and I’ll find a place to put it up on my website.
The length of the necklace is 18” long.
And if you only dream about having one of these awesome dogs as a companion, you can still wear my enamel topaz colored greyhound necklace!
