And just think about the toughness of the little dachshund that had to pose in this position for hours while I crafted him! (Just kidding) But it was rather difficult to find a photograph of a dachshund in the perfect little “begging” position. I finally located one in my own library of dog books, which saved me a trip to the library. I think it turned out rather well, don’t you agree?

If you have a dachshund of the black and tan persuasion, this could be just the ticket to spice up a casual outfit. And the side benefit is that people are bound to ask you about your dog necklace, inviting many anecdotes about your dachshund that you’ll be obliged to entertain them with.

I think it’s pretty interesting how many dogs there are with this basic pattern in their coat, and all of them have a completely different body type. There’s the rottie, the dobie and the min pin for example. It makes me wonder where the tan and black pattern originated.
I always get so interested in things of this ilk!

At any rate, it looks very stylish on the dachshund. And I’m happy that they have this pattern, because it looks especially great as dachshund jewelry. Lucky all around.
