Description: When I decided to create the “fantasy” colored cat series, I knew I needed to make a green cat. So of course I have an entire line of these emerald cats, and I think the cat necklace is a great part of the series.(You must also check out my matching green cat pin and earrings.) One of the things I enjoy with the almost transparent paint colors is that the design I originally created continues to be a part of the whole. Sometimes when something is painted, the little eyes, whiskers, mouth etc. tend to be covered up and lost. This is why I love this series of colors. It’s all still there, and you can see it with just a little inspection. This is what I find especially rewarding about my work as a jewelry artist. I am the sole creator of all The Magic Zoo designs, and take full responsibility for all of them, good, bad (hopefully not too often) and beautiful. And the fact that I can create any color I feel like creating gives me a feeling of Artistic Power! Hey, wouldn’t it be great to have one of my enamel cat necklaces in all of the color combinations?
