If you wanted, you could go “all the way” and wear the butterfly necklace pendant and the matching enamel butterfly earrings. You may ask “Would that be too much?” And I boldly answer you- “Most resoundingly NOT!”

I think one of the reasons that combination would work out well is because the individual butterflies are quite delicate. It’s definitely not an overpowering design, so having it repeating on your ears and around your neck would be completely acceptable -quite lovely, in fact.

No matter where in the world you live, I imagine there are several lovely varieties in your vicinity. I love these fanciful insects. I’m sure that butterflies are the inspiration for the whole idea of that most magical of magic beings-the fairy. My grand daughter is currently fascinated with the idea of fairies, and butterflies as well.

If you want to dress up just a bit, these little butterfly necklaces would be a great choice. It has enough “dressiness” in the sparkle of the wing to give a hint of bling, without being particularly showy. You could wear it to a ball game, a movie or even to an opera, if you have leanings in that direction.  I’ve never been to a live opera, but my mother was a big fan and often wore my jewelry when she attended.
