Description:
There is something especially appealing about green, which is found just about everywhere in nature. (OK, Maybe not so much in the Sahara Desert).
My mother, who was a marvelous artist, once mused that in nature there are so many different greens and every one of them goes well together. This was in reference to a designing question I had. I was trying to create something that had two very different shades of green in the same piece, and I just didn’t think I could combine them very well.
I always remember that when I’m working with this color. It also comes in handy as a good piece of advice, say to my daughter-in-law who was recently working on a color combination in her home. It really is very true. Just look around at your yard sometime and you will see so many different green hues, all living happily side by side. And insects, especially butterflies, don’t particularly concern themselves with the finer points of color matching, but they do make incredible butterfly pendants.
So wear your green butterfly necklace with any old green outfit and you’ll see what I mean. It could be more of a teal (blue-green), a yellow green or an olive. They will all mesh beautifully, and your butterfly necklace will look stunning. You can thank my mom, Kathryn Hutton, for that bit of artistic advice!
