The pendant is fine pewter, and the black beak, black feet and red tail are epoxy enamel which has been applied by hand. This is a durable pair of earrings that can be worn and enjoyed for years to come, then passed onto the next generation of bird lovers.

The African grey pendant is just about an inch in length. It comes on an 18 inch cord with two red glass beads to accentuate the detail in the bird pendant itself.

 

All painted enamel bird necklaces have a rather life-like appearance, and I especially love how the enamel white and black penguin necklace seems about to waddle away!
