The enamel post earrings were such a treat for me to make. I’ve always loved making small things, and since I am an animal enamel jewelry artist and not into making doll house miniatures, these earrings are about the limit of my “smallness”.
I don’t have especially tiny hands, so there is a limit there! Actually, I’m not sure if that would make a difference, but it seems like it might.
The other thing I enjoy is seeing just a dot of color on the ear. It makes people want to get a closer look. And the closer look yields this cute face, be it canine, feline or something else. Like a ladybug, for instance!
I’m looking forward to expanding my line of colorful post earrings, so keep looking for new ones if you’re a fan of color and cute smallness both. I’ve only begun to tap my creative resources here, believe me! A lot of the earrings I have in larger versions would be nice in a post earring as well.
The other great thing about these is that they are wonderful for kids. I can certainly understand the concern that parents have for their children wearing dangling earrings, especially when they are playing or participating in sports activities. Wearing stud earrings is generally the way to go for young girls as a general rule. When my daughter was a young “pierce-ee” she had a selection of pretty post earrings. So I understand the parental concern here.
The enamel post earrings are great for fun and for all around general wear, no matter what your age.
