I am a cat person. There, I’ve said it! Naturally, cat
pendants such as my marvelous sterling silver fat cat with the innocent
expression would be one of my favorite designs!
This one has such a typically feline countenance that just
about any cat person would recognize it instantly. But for something just plain
cute, how about my whimsical short haired cat post earrings? Cats are such funny creatures. They try
putting across an air of sophistication no matter what activity they might be
up to. And sometimes they can really fool you! (Up to the time they slip on the
edge of the bookshelf, tumbling unceremoniously to the floor, that is.) Have
you ever seen the mortified expression on a temporarily graceless cat? It is truly
priceless!
The sweet silver short haired cat charm is perfect
for the cat lover who wants to wear a little reminder of the mysterious and
marvelous cat. I made this one as a much smaller companion piece to the Egyptian-
looking short haired cat pin pendant. I realize not everyone wears such big
pieces, but this one definitely has its own charm.
And now, my favorite. I designed the fluffy sterling cat
head pendant so I could show some real facial detail. It’s nice to feature
the face, because some expression can be lost in a tiny pendant. For a small
pair of earrings to match this pendant, check out the super-cute long haired
cat posts. And no matter the similarities from cat to cat, I still maintain
that each one has its own unique expression. Their personalities certainly
differ!
A real favorite of mine and many of my customers is that ubiquitous
fat cat pin pendant.
A winner every time!
I don’t know what it is about the fat cat. Maybe it just
makes us feel better that cats can be overweight, too. But whatever it is, the “I’m
not fat, I’m fluffy” earrings are awfully appealing!
If you have a charm bracelet I have another kitty choice. My
favorite is the naughty cat head charm.
In the future, there may be some additional creative cat jewelry added to my line. I am continually inspired by the cats around
me, and have visions of Siamese cats, Persians and others that are filed away
in my imagination for the next series of new design work I’ll be doing. I have
to sneak up on my ideas and just when I think I don’t have any time at all,
grab a day or two and let my creative juices flow. That always cures the blues.
