My current iguana jewelry consists of a lapel pin in two different designs. One is the whole body of the iguana and the other one is just the little head.
When I was in the Caribbean a few years ago I couldn’t help but notice some of the local people with iguanas for sale by the side of the road. These were big reptiles, not little babies. I never found out if they were selling them for (horrors) food or for tourists to take back as pets. How you’d ever get a beast that size through customs is anybody’s guess!
My stepson had an iguana when he was a young man named “Spike”. It seemed funny to name a vegetarian Spike, but that guy could certainly bite when he was pissed of, so the name worked out well.
A few years ago Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald of the “Emergency Vets” show on Animal Planet asked me to make iguana name badges for several of his friends at Alameda East. I decided to research and see if there were some different species of iguanas so all the name tags wouldn’t look alike. Sure enough, I found 5 or 6 different kinds of iguanas, all quite different looking. He was very pleased and so was I!
So now I have these two little iguana jewelry lapel pin designs available which I hope you enjoy. |
