My horseshoe jewelry covers a nice little selection of designs. I have a tiny horseshoe post, a design of a horseshoe on a heart (which comes as a pendant, earrings or a charm) and a horse footprint design, also available as a pendant, earrings and charm.
I’ve thought of horseshoes as being a good luck sign since I was a child. I think there’s nothing particularly wrong with assigning something the ability to bring, in particular, good luck. And why not make it a horse shoe? I realize that the horse shoe must be in a particular position for the luck to hold. Maybe it has to do with holding the luck inside the open container of the horseshoe? I’m just guessing here! But I have to admit to having a horseshoe mounted on the past two houses I’ve lived in, a gift from my husband’s son Peter.
I took advantage of photographs for farriers to create all of my horseshoe jewelry. Along the way I learned some interesting facts about horse shoes. I had no idea there were so many kinds! Being a farrier must take a lot of skill and patience.
