About Our Goat Jewelry
My current goat jewelry was based on an image of the miniature goat- that adorable little farm animal so popular now. But I like all goats, and expect to be designing some other breeds of goats in my farm animal jewelry  before too long.

Now for a bit of goat history. Goats are closely related to sheep. The main distinguishing features are that sheep horns (in male sheep only) grow to the sides of the head and goat’s horns curl up and back and both sexes have them. Also male goats have a very strong “goaty” smell.

You know, that smell really grew on me. There is a hint of it in goat cheese and goat yogurt and I do not mind it a bit. However, one of my artist friends worked quite a bit with goat hair one some of her projects and became so “allergic” to the smell that she can’t even consider eating any goat milk products. Seems a shame- I think they are wonderfully exotic tasting and much prefer them to cow’s milk products.
There are 5 wild species of goat. And I have no idea how many breeds of domesticated goats there are, but I imagine a whole heck of a lot more than five!

You can choose among several of my goat designs, from a sweet little charm to a full body pin or pendant.
