I think creating Boston terrier jewelry is a fun way to honor these dapper little dogs.
Boston terriers were first bred in America from the bulldog, the French bulldog, the bullterrier and the boxer. It was first shown in Boston in 1870 and I guess the name stuck.
The Boston terrier owners I’ve met are inordinately fond of their breed. From what I’ve read Bostons are affectionate, patient with children and smart. That’s a good package of favorable characteristics for such a small dog! I would add to that laundry list of compliments that they are attractive little canines. I like black and white anything- it’s a very fetching color combination. As a matter of fact, I have black and white tiles in one of my bathrooms, so you see I know what of I speak.
Supposedly these dogs are great guard dogs. I think it’s cute when a little dog has a large and important image of himself. I’m sure “cute” is not a word this proud little breed would want to be associated with, to me, cute it is. His inner vision of himself is probably of a proud warrior, unrelenting in his pursuit of evil yet gentle as a dove with his human companion.
My Boston terrier jewelry may not be in black and white, but I think the flavor of the breed comes through and the personality as well. |
