Black and white cat jewelry is great- not only does it go with practically everything in most people’s wardrobes, but who hasn’t owned or at least known one of these ubiquitous cats?
I myself have two of these kitties as cat-nieces. My brother Jeff and his wife Reda are cat parents to Ben and Lizzie, two somewhat look- alike black and white cats who are not related, even though they adopted them at the same time from the same shelter in Cincinnati. Ben reminds me of an orca whale. He’s fat and content, the perfect foil for Lizzie’s overactive skinny jitteriness. He maintains his placid motion through life despite her onslaught.
And of course there’s Felix the cat, possibly the most well- known tuxedo cat caricature in recent history. It seems he has made a comeback almost 80 years after his first appearance in the 1920s, in the form of a kitchen clock.
I’ve made black and white cat jewelry for most of my Magic Zoo life- which scarily enough, is almost half my total life! So I’ve graduated from the handcrafted look of clay jewelry to my current hand painted black and white cat designs-one of my favorites!
