In this section you’ll find some offerings that could double as patriotic jewelry depending on your political leanings. Since an election year is looming up, I decided I should be an equal opportunity jeweler and offer styles for the Democrats and the Republicans. So here’s your chance to wear a beautiful handcrafted elephant or donkey and announce your political inclinations as a fashion statement! That brings me to a quick story: I was in my jewelry booth a few years back at a trade show when I heard someone from the fringes of my booth ask if I carried any Springer spaniel jewelry. When I looked up, I was greeted by the smiling face of Mrs. Barbara Bush and her entourage of secret service personnel! Unfortunately I did not have a Springer spaniel anything to show her, but I was able to shake her hand and give her one of my elephant designs as a little gift (I insisted even though she told me she already had more elephant jewelry than she knew what to do with). So Republicans - here’s your chance to wear a Magic Zoo elephant, just like the one that Barbara Bush has buried in her jewelry box. And Democrats, get on the ball and wear that cute little donkey (in silver or gold!) round your neck. This should be an exciting couple of political years coming up and The Magic Zoo wants to be involved. |
