I can certainly understand why you might want to show off your affection for this lovely parrot by wearing gold parrot jewelry. The more I learn about them, the more I like them! I always admired them for their understated beauty, but I didn't know much more about them than what I could see for myself.
Now I learn that they fall in love and wed for life. (At least the parrot version) Presumably the divorce rate is low and the kids learn to fly instead of sitting around in the nest cavity playing video games. They sound like well-rounded birds, living in a 1950s version of an African Grey neighborhood.
Here's another sweet African grey fact; when the mama parrot is incubating her eggs. The dad feeds her through the hole in the nest box! (Or the tree, as the case may be.) There just may be no dead beat dad African grey parrots.
One thing I just learned that could be helpful to a new African grey owner is not to give more attention to your new companion than can be maintained throughout his or her life. If you pamper the parrot, it might become upset and start plucking his parrots if you are suddenly unable to spend as much quality time with him. So many things to know about an exotic pet bird!
This gold African grey parrot charm is a stunning little piece. Hope you like it, too!
